Brief: To create an SEO-optimized website for Auckland-based Newborn, Maternity & Family Photographer Natalia Bowers.
Natalia first worked with us when we performed an SEO Audit on her old website. As part of the review, we suggested that she had two options moving forward to improve her search engine optimizations. One, work within the limitations of her existing platform, or two, build a new, SEO optimized website that will have the ability for her to scale up and achieve better results in organic searches.
Natalia asked us to work with her to create a brand-new WordPress site, using a mix of her existing content as well as some new, custom copywriting to improve the keyword usage throughout the website.
We built the site on WordPress, using the Elementor page builder. This gives great flexibility for Natalia to edit and customize the site herself.
The colours we used were muted, earthy tones set by her branding. We also created a script signature design element to add a personal touch and warmth to the website.
We added lots of movement to the site to create an engaging user experience.
SEO RANKING IMPROVEMENTS
One of the key indicators for the success of the new site is how it performs in organic search results in Google. With her old website, Natalia was only ranking in the top 100 results for four of her top 10 target keywords – with the highest page rank being page 4.
After the new website had been live for approximately one month – Little Lovely was ranking in the top 30 search results for every single one of Natalia’s top keywords. Impressively, half of those have a ranking on page one of Google of 10 or 9.
As Natalia continues to add blog entries and reinforce her target keywords, she will be likely to continue to climb the organic search engine rankings.
