Once you have been supplied with your email signature – you will have a file that is called something like “your-signature.htm”
In order to get this to show in the Outlook application, we need to locate the Microsoft Sigantures folder in File Explorer, and place it in there.
1. Navigate to the %appdata%
Folder:
- In the address bar of File Explorer, or the search box in your task bar, type
%appdata%
and pressEnter
. This will take you to theRoaming
subfolder within theAppData
directory.
2. Find the Relevant Subfolder:
- You will be in
C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Roaming
. From here, you can navigate to specific application folders. For example, for Microsoft Outlook, the path would beC:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures
- Copy your
.html
file to thisSignatures
folder.
3. Restart Outlook
- Close and reopen Outlook to ensure it picks up the new or updated signature files.
4. Set Your Signature in Outlook
- Open Signature Settings:
- Go to File > Options > Mail > Signatures….
- Select Your Signature:
- In the Signatures and Stationery window, you should see your new signature listed. Select it and set it as the default for new messages and/or replies/forwards.
