
Northway Homes has been building investment properties and family homes in Rotorua since 2012. Mike brings over a decade of hands-on local building and investing experience to every project, and the site needed to reflect that depth of knowledge clearly and confidently.
The challenge was to translate a highly specialised service – investment-focused new builds – into a website experience that speaks equally well to first-time investors and seasoned property developers, without losing its local Rotorua identity. We also needed to make sure their house plans were easy to find, and looked enticing to potential buyers.

From the moment someone lands on the homepage, they’re guided through exactly what Northway Homes offers, why it matters, and what the next step looks like. House plans, recent projects, investor case studies, and a clear process overview each play a role in building confidence and removing friction from the decision-making process.
Visually, the site leans into the professionalism and substance of the brand. Deep navy tones reinforce the branding and establish credibility, while warm imagery of completed builds gives the site genuine warmth and real-world grounding. It doesn’t feel like a generic building company website – it feels like Northway Homes.
The result is a website that works hard behind the scenes – clearly structured for SEO, fast to navigate, and purposefully built to convert enquiries from the right kind of client. We created a custom post type for House Plans to make them easy for the client to manage behind the scenes. For each house plan, Mike and the team can add a title, image, floor plan, key details (like number of bedrooms and bathrooms) as well as the description.
Here the team can feature a variety of their previous work, from full new builds to renovations.
