Packaging Design - Pure Freedom Skincare

Client: Pure Freedom Skincare, Christchurch

Brief: To create product packaging for a new natural skincare range, which is predominantly made up of oils and butters (cocoa, shea, etc) without any chemical based preservatives or additives

To create the packaging design for Pure Freedom Skincare, we took key elements from the logo design through to become main features of the product packaging. The organic circle shapes became key for separating spaces on the labels to delineate between areas of different parts of information.

Those circles also formed the inspiration for the 'pebble' shape that sots at the front of each label.

The products were going into clear glass jars and bottles with white lids, so we kept the design light and fresh, while making sure each label covered as much of the surface area of each container as possible, to help protect the product.

As there were different ranges within the brand (Face, Body, Baby) we decided to create a colour palette of five different colours to represent the type of product, or the scent. We used green, yellow, orange, purple and pink.

Depending what colour the product label was, the circles encompassing the logo changes colour to match.

The result were fresh, modern labels that reflected the pure and simple qualities of the products within them.
