Website Design - Suzy Lee Artistry

Client: Suzy Lee Artistry, Roxburgh Otago Brief: To create a luxurious and sophisticated website for a Central Otago-based Hair & Makeup Artist. Suzy approached us to create a website that would appeal to mainly a female market - predominantly brides looking for a hair & makeup artist for their wedding day. But it also needed to feature her hairdressing work and details about her film and television experience. Hugely experienced in both bridal and commercial hair and makeup work, Suzy had a great selection of gorgeous images that we were able to use across the site. To create the sophisticated and high-end feel we used a beautiful serif font throughout the website, paired with a sans serif font for paragraph text to aid legibility and ease of use. We added two instagram feeds to the website - Suzy's main one was placed in the footer to appear on every page, and then her hairdressing specific account was put on the hairdressing page alone; for an efficient way to have fresh content regularly updating on the page. The website design uses full-width imagery and is fully responsive for use on all devices.   www.suzyleeartistry.com

Website Design - Red Polka Dot Events

Client: Red Polka Dot Events, Wanaka  Brief: To create a professional website to showcase Red Polka Dot Event's services, as well as present the beauty of Wanaka and the opportunities for delivering fantastic events. Sarah Searle from Red Polka Dot Events has more than 20 years of experience organising corporate and private events both internationally and nationally. Living in Wanaka for over 10 years, she saw the need for an event planner focusing on the Wanaka region specifically - as it's popularity for corporate events and retreats has been growing in recent years.  Sarah wanted the website to be simple and slick, as well as being very easy to navigate. It needed to have a modern feel with stunning imagery of Wanaka. Sarah's event location partners came through with amazing images which really made the website beautiful. Built on the Wordpress CMS platform, there is the ability for Sarah to expand the website as her business grows.   www.wanakaeventplanner.co.nz

    Logo Design - Pristine Cleaning

Client: Pristine Homes, Wanaka Brief: To create a fresh, clean and modern logo for a new cleaning and Airbnb/holiday home management and services company. Wanaka company Pristine Homes asked us to create a bright and fresh logo for their new company.  We wanted the logo to reflect the high standard of quality and service that Pristine Homes represents - and early on in the logo development stage we landed on stars as a key icon to incorporate into the design. In the hand sketching phase, this concept was a strong favourite of ours, as it was simple, yet effectively conveyed the feeling we were looking for. With a playful sans serif font, a simple house outline and a star to represent a shining finish, this concept really stood out and won the clients over.

Website Design - Lawrence Golf Club

Client: Lawrence Golf Club, Lawrence, Otago Brief: To create a new responsive website for the historic Otago golf club, to promote the club and their modern clubrooms for venue hire. Lawrence Golf Club is the second oldest golf club in Otago, established in 1894. They had never had a website before, so one was needed to create an online presence for the club, take membership applications online, and also to promote the clubrooms for hire. The team at Lawrence Golf Club gave us a lot of freedom to establish a look and feel for the club. The golf club did not have an existing logo, so we created one for them based on the iconic imagery from the town signage - a shovel - and a golf club, placed on a shield.  We created a green and gold colour scheme for the golf club, and used serif fonts throughout as a nod to the historic nature of the club, creating a classic and timeless feel for the website. We then mixed this with some bold headings to create the more modern feel to represent the new club house. We also worked with the team to write the copy for the website. A slick, professional and modern website to create a welcoming online presence for Lawrence Golf Club.   www.lawrencegolfclub.c..

    Logo Design - Basecamp Adventures

Client: Basecamp Adventures, Wanaka Brief: To create a unique identity for an adventure tourism company operating in Wanaka & Queenstown. Basecamp Adventures is the new master brand that encompasses a number of existing companies offering active adventure experiences in the Queenstown-Lakes District. Basecamp Adventures offers a range of experiences including indoor rock climbing, outdoor rock climbing, snowshoe tours, guided walks, family adventures and private guiding. The existing businesses are currently operating under different business names, however the goal is to bring them all under this brand - so the new logo needed to cater for all existing and future adventure experiences, and not be specific to any one activity. Our goal was to represent a brand offering fun, safe and quality adventures for a broad range of travellers and locals and to create a unique, recognisable and distinctive identity that is synonymous with outdoor adventures in Wanaka & Queenstown. We brainstormed imagery related to adventure and the outdoors, and the chosen logo mark was created by combining a GPS or compass navigational icon with Treble Cone contour lines from a topographic map. The colour palette chose..

Custom Web Application - Marketing Mate

Client: Marketing Mate, Australia Brief: To upgrade the existing interactive 10 Step Marketing Plan Generator into a web application. Marketing Mate approached us with a marketing planning business that allowed people easily create marketing plans tailored to their business. Marketing Mate had an existing interactive 10 Step Marketing Plan Generator in PDF form, that people were able to purchase to create a customized marketing plan. They employed Envy Web + Design to upgrade the system by custom building the Marketing Mate Web Application - which provides online access to the Marketing Plan Wizard and offers multiple new features. They had an existing Squarespace website as the front-end marketing tool, and Marketing Mate kept that in place while we built the software for the web app to work alongside this. The app works on a subscription basis, where people can sign up on one of three tiers – Basic, Professional or Corporate/Education. Depending on the chosen subscription, customers can then use the app to write one or more strategic and tailored marketing plans – complete with over 160 marketing tips and tricks direct from a professional marketer.   www.marketingmate.info

Ecommerce Website Design - GEORGE & EDI

Client: GEORGE & EDI, Boutique Fragrance Company, Wanaka Brief: To build a new website to improve performance, functionality and create a beautiful shopfront for a growing Wanaka-based business. GEORGE & EDI came to Envy Web + Design in December 2015 needing a new website to take their ecommerce business to the next level. Rose and Sarah had an existing WIX website that they had built themselves and it had worked well for them for the first four years of their business. But they had come to a stage where they needed to bring the website more inline with the company direction and for it to fulfill business objectives. The brief was to build a more visual site with a strong identity, easy to navigate and purchase from, with a separate area for their wholesale stockists to login and order from.  They also wanted to continue being able to manage the site themselves, so it needed to be easily managed. We created a Wordpress platform for them operating with Woo Commerce. Since launching the new site, GEORGE & EDI have seen an almost 100% increase in sales through the website. In 2017, they reviewed the website and we did a redesign to add more information and update the look and feel of the website.   www.geor..

    Logo Design - Priority Transfers

Client: Priority Transfers, Waikato  Brief: To create a professional, crisp and sharp logo for a new business for transporting patients to ACC appointments. The team at Priority Transfers needed a logo to represent their company to their target market of ACC Case managers who are responsible for organising and booking transport for patients who can’t make appointments by themselves. The brand needed to show a commitment to timeliness and professionalism. The client had some ideas around imagery relating to vehicles and clocks - but the successful design was a logo mark with a triple arrow - stylised in an upward direction to communicate these qualities. We also created flyers, business cards and letterhead for them to use.

Website Design - Wanaka Presbyterian Community Church Centre

Client: Wanaka Presbyterian Community Church Centre Brief: to create a modern, easy to navigate, mobile-friendly website for both their regular attendees as well as church visitors. The team at Wanaka Presbyterian Community Church Centre approached us to update their website. It was not only outdated and needing a refresh, but church-goers found the site confusing to navigate which was preventing them from using it to its full potential. We were asked to create a site that was first and foremost practical, easy to navigate and clear. Secondly, to do it while creating a website that would show their friendly and welcoming environment. The team had a clear idea of the look and feel for the site. One of the key features was a fixed side menu with icons, to create clear directions for people visiting the site. The other was the use of large background images to brighten the website and give it a fresh, current look and feel. The site also needed to have sermons uploaded weekly, the ability to add events, upload newsletters, venue hire information as well as all the general information from the church about services, groups and activities.   wpccc.org.nz
